Ten North Allegheny football players were named Big 56 All-Conference selections on Wednesday morning.  Five players took home laurels on the offensive side of the football, while five had defensive honors. All three first-team selections were on the Tigers’ defense.

Senior Lincoln Hoke earned Big 56 first-team defensive line honors, while fellow seniors Korry Pitts and Owen Urshler were also named first-team selections at defensive back and defensive end, respectively. Second team defensive laurels were given to senior defensive back Kaison Inouye and junior defensive end Grant Girty.

Second team Big-56 honors were also awarded to senior running back Luke Rohan, wide receiver Cam Kushner, tackle Ryan Logan, junior guard Declan Flaherty and at-large (WR) Mason Brown.

Hoke is a two-way starter who has found his way onto the Big 56 first-team list for the third time in his career after earning the award at defensive line last season and offensive line two years ago. In 10 games so far this season, Hoke has accumulated a team-leading 66 tackles, including 12 for loss, four and a half sacks, four forced fumbles and a blocked kick. The Pitt Football commit took home a plethora of awards at the regional and state level last season.

Pitts had a solid season on both sides of the ball, working as a defensive back and wide receiver. The Monmouth Football commit had 19 tackles in the regular season with two interceptions and five pass break-ups. Pitts was a second-team Big 56 all-conference player last season.

Urshler has been a steady force on the edge for the Tigers this entire season. In nine games, he tallied 33 tackles, including five for loss. The senior also led the team with 10.5 sacks, while registering five quarterback hurries and a pass break-up.

Inouye is in his first season with the Tigers after moving into the school district. In seven games, the senior had 22 tackles, including one for loss, eight pass break-ups and a fumble recovery.

Girty had a productive junior campaign with 28 tackles over nine games. Four tackles were for loss, while registering two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Rohan’s selection to the Big 56 All-Conference team was his second of his career, as he was named a second-team running back last season as well. The senior led the team with 13 total touchdowns, including 10 rushing scores. He had 835 yards on the ground while averaging five yards per carry and nearly 93 yards per game. Rohan also had 90 yards receiving with seven catches.

Logan is also a multi-time Big 56 All-Conference selection after earning first-team accolades during his junior campaign. This was the first all-conference award for Flaherty, Kushner and Brown.

Kushner has played in all 10 games to this point and has 286 yards receiving on 23 catches for two scores. Brown hauled in 25 catches in nine games for 281 yards and a touchdown.
